FOR BEGINNERS (How to Grow a Beard)

FOR BEGINNERS (How to Grow a Beard)

If you are new to the beard fam, this one is for you. Whether you shaved to start a fresh or have just recently decided to grow out your beard or are just starting to get some facial hair, this one is for you.

Here are 3 simple tips to get your beard journey started the right way.

  1. Make a Plan:

As any successful person will tell you, in order to start something, you need to figure out where you want to go. The same rule applies to growing your beard. You need to plan out your beard routine and follow it religiously. This means figuring out your wash days (using a beard wash 1-2 times a week), trim days and ensuring that you moisturize every day. Plan your beard routine into your day to ensure you stay consistent.

Another thing you need to do at the beginning of your beard journey is determine the shape and length of the beard you want to grow. This will help you keep it neat and will add volume to your beard as well.

We cannot stress enough how much you need to stick to a beard care routine. Consistency is the main key to growth. Show your beard love and it will show it right back.

2. Trim, wash, moisturize:

This is a 3 in one tip.

Trimming allows you to get rid of split ends which promotes hair growth. This is completely different from shaving or chopping off huge amounts of your beard. That would definitely put a damper on your progress.

Washing your beard is also important for the look, feel and smell of your beard. As you go through your day, your beard collects A LOT of germs from dust, food particles etc. Washing your beard every day (without beard wash – just water) needs to be on your to do list. You can wash it with warm water and add your beard wash 1 or 2 days a week for best results.

We know what comes next right? You guessed it. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! This is the most important thing you can do for your beard. Run your beard comb or brush through your beard after using the beard balm or oil as this will also make it look longer.

3. Be patient:

Rome wasn’t built in a day.  As cliché as this may be, it is a thing to remember through your journey.  It will take time and we understand that it may get frustrating at times but you cannot rush greatness.

Think about it like this, when you go to the gym, you do not expect to get abs in a day do you? It takes a specific diet and workout routine to get results. The same thing applies for beard growth.

Bonus tip:

Maintaining a healthy diet can help speed up your beard growth and promote your general health as well. There is no down side!
