Movember, also known as No Shave November is an important month to the beard fam. It is a time to take action and speak through your beard.
If you are new to this concept, have no fear. We are here to help.
Movember is an annual charity month where men all over the world are encouraged to clean shave their beard then grow out a moustache in order to raise awareness for men’s health specifically for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
Over the years, some people now choose to grow out full beards instead of only moustaches. The choice is up to you but here are a few guidelines to follow this month.
SHAVE IT OFF!
This is a tough one for us as we love our full beards, however, hair grows back and this is a worthwhile cause.
Don’t skip your beard care routine:
This is a chance for you to actually up your beard game up. Starting from scratch allows you to implement all the lessons that you have learned during your beard growth journey.
Using your beard oil and balm are important steps to follow when you are bare faced, as your hair grows and when you have a full beard.
Know when and how to trim:
Trimming is important to your beard growth because it allows you to get rid of split ends and grow out your hair in the healthiest way possible.
If you have no idea how or when to trim, check out our next article for more information on this.
Document your beard journey:
You can do this using a personal vlog or by posting it on social media. This step will achieve two goals:
- It will spread the word and raise awareness about Movember.
- It will allow you to visually track your beard growth and understand it better.
Growing your beard requires ‘fuel’ from within you. Incorporate foods that are high in Vitamins B5, B3 & B9 into your diet. This is a natural and healthy way to get your desired results.
